Wilshere played just over an hour for Arsenal's under-21s against the West Brom equivalent. Short of breath after twenty minutes and "shattered" by the end of it, he came through his first real test after an agonising 14-month lay-off.
Asked how he felt after the match, Wilshere replied: "Shattered!"
